I started the DaysLikeThese Daily Photo Project to document my life. Since August 8th, 2003, I have taken at least one photo every day. The idea being to represent each day of my life with a photograph taken on that day. As every photograph is an act of preservation, my intention is an exercise in futility. These moments are not necessarily the most critical, the most beautiful, or the most interesting. They are however an indexical look at time, sharing details that were soon to change or disappear. It's important to make connections between the understood and the rest.
I've organized this site much like a large calendar. Click on each year to see that year's images. The photos are displayed in seven columns, running left to right, Sunday through Saturday. To see the entire project, click on the 'All' menu option. I'm not interested in presenting specific images, rather this project is about the totality of experience.
I am an artist currently living in Los Angeles, California.
